JEL TRM

The drum mixer JEL TRM is used for mixing and homogenizing dry and pourable bulk solids, for micro-spraying and reaction processes and other jobs ranging from degassing through to mixing products with deposits that are paste-like or even dough-like. The drum mixer is available in sizes from 25 l to 25,000 l total volume. It is suitable for both batch operation as well as for continual operation.

Operation

The drum mixer has an integrated cylindrical drum in a horizontal position as a mixing container. The mixing device can come in various forms: plow blade, mixing paddles or ribbon paddles. The mixing devices are arranged in such a way that they move the product toward the center and forward. Because of how they are set up relative to the geometry of the mixing container, the material being mixed is forced to move three-dimensionally and the components are mixed vigorously even when the materials display extreme differences as regards amount rations, bulk weight or particle size. The drum mixer can be adapted to the requirements of the material being mixed by various RPM and a selection of mixing devices.
