Blowing conveyor for conveying plastic granules into lorries with inliner

On the conference about conveying systems for bulk goods in 2006 Engelsmann presented new concepts for rotary valves to fill containers of lorries with granular products.

Here the main topic was the newly developed blowing conveyor for granules. The distinguishing feature of this conveyor is that it can be applied for filling inliners on a lorry directly from a silo.

The product is fed via an injector nozzle arranged under the rotary valve and conveying granules into the inliner by means of compressed air. This ensures brimful filling without formation of a product cone. In addition, the built-on sampler makes it possible to test the product quality during the filling process. As a result, a lorry can be filled within less than one hour with a maximum conveying capacity of 60 m³/h.

The picture shows the blowing conveyor consisting of the following components:

operating platform with forklift shoes
rotary valve with drive
injector feeding shoe
leakage air hopper
sampling screw

The most important advantages of this new system are the high conveying capacity and the resulting quick filling, easy cleaning due to the extractable rotary wheel and the mobility of the machine due to forklift shoes integrated in the operating platform.
